Just on the heels of the leaked 2011 Porsche Cayenne photos finding their way onto the world-wide-web, Porsche has released a batch of official images for your viewing pleasure.  I'm sure glad they did, because yesterday's images of a scanned magazine article with a big crease down the middle were less than flattering.  A special thank you to our Checkered Flag Auto Group Facebook fan Amy Patton for posting the images on our page today.  Good lookin' out, Amy!

Images Leaked of the New 2011 Porsche Cayenne

Ooh la la! French publication L'Auto Journal leaked images of the new 2011 Porsche Cayenne ahead of its scheduled debut at the the Geneva Motor Show next week.  According to previously leaked info, enthusiasts expect that these images accurately depict the production model Cayenne.

Congressional Hearings on Toyota Recall Underway- See Testimony from Toyota President

Today was the first day of the Congressional hearings regarding the Toyota Safety Recalls, the session is being called, "Response by Toyota and NHTSA to Incidents of Sudden Unintended Acceleration."  The representatives for Toyota did not actually respond today, that will happen tomorrow.  Both men involved in the hearings, Akio Toyoda, the head of Toyota, and Jim Lentz, Toyota Motor Sales USA President, will address three separate topics: "Toyota's basic philosophy regarding quality control, the cause of the recalls, and how we will manage quality control going forward."

New Audi RS5 is All the Rage this Week with Style, Power, and Surprisingly Great Fuel Economy

The smokin' hot Audi RS5 is all over the inter-web this week;  literally every single site I've seen has an article about the newest Audi gem.  The RS5 is slated to debut at the Geneva auto show in early March and will feature Audi's high-revving 4.2-liter V8 which pumps out 450hp and 317 lb-ft of torque.

Woman Killed by Loose Tire at NHRA Drag Race

A terrible accident happened yesterday at the NHRA Arizona Nationals in Chandler Arizona.  A woman watching a first round Top Fuel run at Firebird International Raceway was killed when she was struck by the tire from  Antron Brown's Matco Tools/U.S. Army dragster.  The left rear wheel came off the vehicle after the driver lost control of it on the strip.   The woman was airlifted to a hospital in the Pheonix area for treatment , but she later passed away.  Her identity has not yet been disclosed.
