2011 Honda Odyssey Nabs 5 Star Safety Rating

Wow!  We've got even more good news for the Honda Odyssey.
 
Congratulations, 2011 Odyssey, you've just earned the coveted Five Star Safety Ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration!

So, what's the big deal?  Well, the NHTSA really buckled down on star requirements last year after having roughly 90% of automobiles qualifying for 4 and 5 Star ratings.  As automakers were innovating new safety equipment, the old rating system remained.  With most vehicles making the 4 or 5 Star mark, companies who went the extra-safe mile were receiving no additional recognition.  To encourage the automakers to…

Every day we learn something new!   Well, today, I learned there were eight cars named after Presidents of the United States.  Most of them were manufactured in the early 20th century, but some of them are still around.  Can you name all eight without looking?

Mans Wins MINI With Unconventional PG-13 Stunt

Now, I've heard of people doing some seriously crazy things to win a new car, but Andreas Muller of Germany has them all beat.  Sometime over the past week, the gentleman made the ultimate gesture to win himself a brand new MINI Cooper.  According to reports, a local Austrian radio station offered up the free Cooper to the listener who performed the wildest MINI related stunt to perform on the show.

Proposed Ban on Texting While Walking

I think all responsible drivers agree that texting while behind the wheel is one of the stupidest and most dangerous things anyone can do.  But what about texting while walking?

One New York senator, Carl Kruger, is fed up with his constituents being injured because they are ignoring simple safety precautions related to cell phones.  It might sound silly, but the texting while walking problem is actually quite serious.  Three deaths in New York have been related to the seemingly harmless act.
