The Monitor Merrimac Bridge Tunnel was the scene of a bad tractor trailer accident this lovely Monday morning.  The morning accident ended with a tractor trailer hanging off of the bridge only being held on by the trailer (barely).  The scene looked much like an action film.

Earlier today, Checkered Flag reported the closure of the Monitor Merrimac Bridge Tunnel due to a terrifying tractor trailer crash. 

Now, a second major thoroughfare, part of U.S. 58 is also closed.  One Checkered Flag fan has reported waiting almost an hour leading up to the U.S. 58 detour.
